Dallas by Chocolate is hosting Christmas Lights, Chocolate and Wine Tours featuring a cozy ride to view holiday lights, while eating chocolate and sipping wine or hot chocolate. They will view the lights of Highland Park and Kessler Park, as well as a few chocolate stops along the way. December 1

The Richardson 41st annual Christmas Parade will march through west Richardson starting at 9 a.m. The parade will begin on Coit Road at Cherrywood Drive and continue north to J.J. Pearce High School. The theme for this year’s parade is “Reindeer Games.”

The parade’s Award Ceremony will be held at 5 p.m. Dec. 1 at the City Hall/Civic Center Complex, just before the annual Christmas Tree Lighting and opening of Santa’s Village.

Holiday Extravaganza: Kick off the holiday season with Irving’s annual Holiday Extravaganza Dec. 1. The holiday parade will begin at 4 p.m. and travel through the Heritage District, followed by the tree lighting ceremony at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, 825 W. Irving Blvd. New to the event will be an afternoon concert on Main Street featuring Canta Rhythmn and Bass band as well as sidewalk shopping opportunities.

Christmas on the Square in Carrollton

Snow will once again be blowing into Carrollton on the first weekend in December, bringing with it a time of Christmas celebrations.  Cancel the flight north and enjoy the snow in the Downtown Carrollton Square from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 1.

Tube down a snow hill and stroll the shops, decked out for the holidays, offering wonderful gifts and stocking stuffers. Visit and take pictures with Santa Claus, and enjoy the many vendor arts and crafts booths. Sponsored by the Old Downtown Carrollton Association.

December 1, 8, & 15 

The Plaza at Preston Center welcomes Santa and his loyal reindeer, Comet and Cupid, for the 2012 Santa Days from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Kids and adults of all ages are welcome to have their picture taken with Santa and his reindeer while experiencing the Plaza’s always-popular holiday decorations and unique shops.  The Plaza at Preston Center is one of the few places where you will actually be able to see live reindeer up close.  The Santa pictures themselves are FREE and donations are encouraged for The North Texas Food Bank.
