The Wendy Williams talk show is known for its “hot topics” and “celebrity gossip”, but the statement she made about Beyonce a few days ago greatly displeased the audience. Wendy talked about being a big Beyonce fan of course, but her commentary went from compliment to insult when she referred to Beyonce as being “not too smart.” After admitting how much she loved Beyonce, Wendy went on to say that she would have to watch Beyonce’s new HBO documentary on her kitchen tv with the closed captioning on it for her to understand what Beyonce is saying.
“You know Beyonce can’t talk…Beyonce sounds like she has a fifth-grade education.” When the audience began to boo, Wendy was unhesitant, swearing “Excuse me! I’m a fan, but let’s call a spade a spade.”
So Wendy said that she would be watching Beyonce’s HBO documentary after all, but that will not be all to watch now since Beyonce just signed a $50 million dollar deal with Pepsi. So taking all things into consideration here, it looks as though Beyonce came out on top despite an insult to her intelligence made by the “How you doing” talk show host.

You have to take what Wendy says with a grain or two or more of salt. She has a history of all kinds of stuff from being blunt to simply starting mess. Just because you talk slowly with a Texas accent does not mean that you have to have a fifth grade education. Obviously, Beyonce is no dummy. On the other hand, Wendy has made numerous “mistakes” throughout her life. But what can you expect when one entertainer talks about another entertainer?…more entertainment…
I’m SOUTHERN. From Louisiana; right next door and she does not simply talk slowly. She’s not articulate. The end. I said this years ago and it (her speech, vernacular, conversation basis) isn’t better nor does it trump the previous crackhead – one Ms. Wendy Williams ability to speak. No hating involved as I like her, yet she’s not the best speaker – period. Not even average.
Wendy is right…she doesnt speak well. Doesnt make her dumb though.
The interesting thing is that to me, it is Wendy who I cannot bear to listen to – Beyonce has never stood out as hard to listen to and certainly not dumb. Perhaps it is because I have limited expectations, I do not expect Beyonce to be as articulate as First Lady Michelle Obama – a Harvard Attorney.
