Kerry Washington was certainly the belle of the ball tonight at the 44th Annual NAACP Image Awards winning every category she was nominated in for the evening. She even joked after her third honor of the night, “I am not up for any more awards in case you are getting tired of me.”
Washington won Best Supporting Actress in a Motion Picture for the film Django Unchained and Best Actress in a Drama Series for for her starring role as Olivia Pope on ABC’s Scandal. Her co-star Mr. President Tony Goldwyn had the honor of presenting the award to Washington.
In addition to these performance awards, the NAACP’s President Award was presented to Washington for her humanitarian efforts.
