On Friday, Congresswoman Johnson will host the latest installment of her “Small Business Owners” series. This 3rd forum in the series will focus on the upcoming health care exchanges and what they mean for small businesses in Texas. Officials from the Small Business Administration, US Department of Health and Human Services, and Medicare and Medicaid Services will be on hand to answer questions of local business owners and to explain the rollout of the new Healthcare insurance exchanges.

Congresswoman Johnson believes that small businesses are the backbone of America’s economy and these enterprises will be a key factor in strengthening our economy and creating jobs. Since the beginning of her career in public office she has been a staunch supporter of small business and is proud to partner with the Small Business Administration in advancing the North Texas economy. By joining the SBA for this program, her goal is to promote voluntary efforts in strengthening the role of women business owners within the community, as well as provide educational, financial or managerial assistance to enhance women’s business ownership. The last two forums were very widely attended by dozens of local business owners.
