Leukemia Texas Concert

Roger Hendren, Mandy O'Neill and Kelcy WarrenDALLAS, TX (October 3, 2013) – The fall season has arrived and Leukemia Texas is busy preparing for its inaugural “Beat Leukemia Concert for a Cure’. Chaired by Dallas business and community leader Tiffaney Dale Hunter, this highly anticipated event will take place on Saturday, October 19th at Klyde Warren Park. Honorary Chair, Mr. Kelcy Warren will be recognized for his outstanding commitment to Leukemia Texas and the overall Dallas community.

“We are thrilled to recognize Kelcy Warren, father of Klyde Warren, for his generous contributions to the Dallas community and our organization during this inaugural fundraising event” said Mandy O’Neill CEO of Leukemia Texas, “As the leader in providing leukemia funds for Texas research and patient aid, this concert will provide an opportunity for everyone in the community to come out and have a great time, while supporting a wonderful and critical cause.”

Hosted by Emmy-award winning actress and TV host, Hilary Kennedy, the “Beat Leukemia Concert for a Cure” will feature the energetic sounds of Dallas’ own, Good Question Band. Known for playing hits from today and back in the day, attendees are certain to have a good time singing and dancing to familiar tunes. This concert is free and open to the public, however VIP tickets are encouraged and will include premier lounge seating as well as delectable cuisine’s and tasty beverages prepared by Klyde Warren Park’s newest edition, Savor Restaurant. Food trucks and lawn seating will also be available as well as the opportunity to text donations, while receiving cheek swabs that assist in finding and matching bone marrow donors.

“By supporting Leukemia Texas, donors will be supporting their life saving mission and contributing to the patient aid and research programs. I know that I am certainly just one of the many lives who have been given that spark of hope and assistance from Leukemia Texas,” said Billie Jean Jackson, Leukemia Texas patient. “I am not sure where I would be today or what would have been my outcome if Leukemia Texas would not have been there to open that last door.”
