If you haven’t seen the video of the cutest toddler ever arguing for a cupcake you have been under a rock. But who could blame the three year old Mateo Beltran? Cupcakes are the best dessert EVER! So, allow your taste buds to win the argument and head down to one of these three places.
I spotted this place while walking out of Urban Taco at Mockingbird Train Station. It was so hard to pass by a window showcasing a bar of cupcakes. Five minutes later (it took me that long to decide), I tasted the Salted Carmel Pretzel Cupcake and was blown away. In the words of Jimmy Fallon “So good”! Flavors include Peanut Butter and Jelly, Chocolate Chip Cannoli, Hot Fudge Sundae, and lemon. The owner, Latricia Green, started this business because she felt that the timing was right for a cupcake to rise. She hopes that starting this company will show her grandchildren that anything is possible.
If you are on a diet you should stay clear of Inwood Village. Then again make this your cheat spot! If you really deserve a treat for eating healthy then you should waltz right into GiGi’s Cupcakes. Love them! These delicacies are only $3.00. Be prepared for over the top flavors like Banana Crème Pie, Triple Chocolate Torte, Kentucky Bourbon Pie, and Lemon Daisy.
OMG! Everyone should run down to Casa Linda Bakery for a taste of Dallas’ history. Nothing comes from a box. Each treat is made-from-scratch fabulous. If you are on your way to the Children’s Garden at the Dallas Arboretum stop by Casa Linda Bakery and pick-up a few cupcakes. (It’s just down the street). Don’t wait until you are leaving the arboretum because they just might run out of your favorite cupcake.
Now, if you have been inspired by and you want to give it a good ole’ try at baking try this doctored up cupcake recipe or not.
