Do you know the L.A. Bandit

LA Bank Robber

Take a good look at the man that the Dallas FBI Violent Crimes Task Force and Garland police have dubbed as the “L.A. Bandit”.

According to a statement by Katherine Chaumont of the Dallas FBI, the man in this picture entered Chase Bank in the 5200 block of North Garland Avenue, a few miles from the President George Bush Turnpike, on Thursday, August 14th and demanded cash from a bank teller and robbed a bank customer who was waiting to making a deposit. The robber was described as aggressive, but fortunately no injuries were reported.  The bandit escaped on foot and is believed to armed and dangerous.

The L.A. Bandit is also wanted in connection with the July 25th robbery of another Chase Bank less than three miles from the 4400 block of Lavon Drive.

The bandit has been described by witnesses as an African-American dark-skin male about 6-foot-1 and in his 30s with a goatee. He was last seen wearing a black baseball cap with the “L.A.” logo and a dark t-shirt and oversized shorts.

Authorities are asking that anyone with information to call the Dallas FBI at 972-559-5000 or Garland police at 972-272-8477.
