Twenty years after a sea of black men filled the National Mall in Washington and together pledged to do right for themselves and their families, community organizers are planning a 20 th -Anniversary observance of the Million Man March  for the fall.
With less than two months left before the March, the Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan continues his call for unity and justice throughout all areas of the African–American, Latino, and working class communities.
There is great dissatisfaction throughout the African-American and Latino communities concerning a broad range of justice issues and the growing instability of family institutions.   The 20th Anniversary of The Million Man March – Justice or Else Dallas Local Organizing Committee (DLOC), is hosting a series of Town Hall Meetings where local community leaders and family members have the opportunity to publicly prioritize their concerns, and make recommendations to be included as a supplement to the National Agenda.
The first Town Hall Meeting will be on Thursday August 20, at 6:30 p.m., at the Samuel Grand Recreation Center/gymnasium, located at 6200 East Grand Ave., Dallas Texas 75223.   A panel of community organizers and leaders from the African American and Latino communities will speak and the people will have the opportunity to “speak out’ on issues that are critical to the advancement of their families and communities.
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad said, “We want Justice, equal Justice under the law. We want Justice applied equally to all regardless of creed or class or color.”
This event is free and open to the public.
