The Dallas County Grand Jury has indicted Johnny Manziel following allegations he assaulted his former girlfriend – again. The 23 year-oldĀ 2012 Heisman Trophy winner once at the football world at his fingertips, but the NFL and the public have grown tired of him. He is a free agent currently because the Cleveland Browns released him.

According to Colleen Crowley, ManzielĀ restrained, hit and threatened her during an alleged assault on Jan.30. Through the affidavit she submitted, heĀ grabbed her by the hair and hit her. She alleges that as a result of the assault she has lost hearing in one ear.

His troubles are not legal only. The NFL couldĀ suspend Manziel under theirĀ personal conduct policy.

The Dallas County District Attorney’s office issued the following statement:

ā€œThe Dallas County Grand Jury is responsible for determining whether there is probable cause that the crime alleged in the case they are presented with, has occurred and should move forward in the criminal prosecution process. During this secret proceeding, both the State and the Defense have the opportunity to present information about the case, to the Grand Jury. The Grand Juryā€™s review of Mr. Manzielā€™s case has resulted in a ā€œtrue billā€, which means that there was probable cause found that Mr. Manziel committed a Family Violence Assault against the complainant. Therefore, this case will move forward in the criminal justice system and be prosecuted by the District Attorneyā€™s Office. As always, we respect the criminal justice process and the decision that the Dallas County Grand Jury has made in regards to this case.
