Lil Wayne sentencing postponed

Retrieved from Yahoo!
Lil Wayne

Only in entertainment can you be convicted of a crime and tell the judge when you want to go to jail and for how long.  It amazes us that Hip-Hop rapper Lil’ Wayne one year gun possession sentenceto Rikers Island has been delayed because of something most people barely take care of, his teeth.  Yes, Lil’ Wayne has been granted an additional month out of jail because to have his permanent diamond and platinum custom grill (teeth), which cost approximately $150,000 removed by his dentist in Miami.  And here we thought it was because his hair was too long.

Lil’ Wayne, Dwayne Carter – 27, of New Orleans Cash Money Millionaires and president and founder of Young Money Millionaires plead guilty and was charged in October last year of attempted criminal possession of a weapon after Manhattan police discovered an unregistered and loaded .40 caliber semiautomatic gun on his tour bus in July 2007.  The gun was not found on the rapper but he was in close proximity, which is how he got the charge.

Since his sentencing Lil’ Wayne and the Cash Money family has been taking the time out to bid fans farewell and the rapper has taken personal time with his now four children and baby mothers, including actress Laura London, to prepare for his away time.  Lil’ Wayne feels that this may be the path that God has for him and his is ready for prison.

Must not have been too ready because Lil’ Wayne’s representatives claim that his dentist was out of the country doing charity work out of the country which is why the dental surgery could not be performed before Tuesday, Lil’ Wayne’s  actual day to go to jail.  OK, so there are no other dentist in Miami?  But he will return to New York for March 2, his new jail date.

Wayne asked his fans not to forget him…but how could they because he also has pending drug and gun possession charges in Arizona.  His court date in Arizona is scheduled for the end of March.  So how can we forget about the hottest rapper in the game?  Especially when there is another possible jail sentencing story waiting to be written.
