DCT tapped students in its academy classes to help spread the word about the wonderful upcoming season. DCT’s 30th anniversary season kicks off September 2013 and continues through July 2014.
Following the popularity of last season’s Pinkalicious the Musical costume design contest. DCT is encouraging all aspiring designers to make their creative dreams a reality by participating in their great hat design contest. All youth entering kindergarten through grade twelve in September 2013 are invited to participate. One winning entry for each title in the 2013-2014 seasons will actually appear on stage in that show.
Winners will help build their hat design with Emmy-nominated DCT costume designer Lyle Huchton. Winners will also receive a bio in the show program, four tickets to opening night and recognition on the stage. And everyone who submits an entry will have their beautiful design prominently displayed in DCT’s lobby for the entire season. At the conclusion of the season, the winning hats will be auctioned off in a fundraiser benefiting DCT.
