Virlinda Stanton singing her cd title song- The Best Is Yet To Come
Tyler’s Golden Rose VirLinda Stanton CD Listening Celebration was held on Saturday, October 12, 2013 from 6:00pm-9:30 pm at The Spa Bar in Dallas, TX. The Spa Bar is a facility that hosts events, meetings, weddings, and banquets. The address is 1308 CONANT STREET, DALLAS, TX 75207
The special event was hosted by Stellar Award-winning broadcaster Carmina Barnett of KHVN-AM and co-hosted by Big “C” The Encourager of Urban Gospel Sounds.
VirLinda’s great-grandmother, who helped raise her instilled into the young lady that the word “can’t” is not an option. Everyone that knows Virlinda will tell you she does not believe in the word “can’t”.
VirLinda’s is rated as one of the top entertainers in the DFW area.
“I connected with every song in this CD; the songs are me,” said VirLinda. “The CD tells the story and I hope listeners can relate to that.”
VirLinda, who hails from Tyler, TX career highlights include: Tyler named a street after her (VirLinda Lane East & West), she received keys to the city, and two days celebrating “VirLinda Stanton Day.” Ms. Stanton also sang at President Obama’s 2011 Christmas gala. VirLinda was in several Disney Productions such as The Lion King, Toy Story, Tarzan, and Hercules the Musical. VirLinda was a major cast member in “The Color Purple” on Broadway. Most of all, she does what she loves the most which is gospel music.
Some of the guests in attendance were her family members, friends, and artists. The artists in attendance were Cherry Thompson-Scott (DFW Choir), Apostle Darrell Yancey, and Christian rapper Norris J.
Apostle Yancey and Norris J. blessed the guests with their current releases.
To top off the night VirLinda Stanton sang two songs from her cd, posed in photographs with guests, and had cds available for sale/autographing. The songs presented were, “You’ve Been So Good to Me” and cd title “The Best Is Yet to Come”
