Hebron Parkway), a regional forum designed to give entrepreneurs and small businesses throughout the Metroplex, the tools, skills, and knowledge to thrive in today’s fast-paced, complex economy.

The forum, sponsored by the Texas Governor’s Office, Texas Workforce Commission, and City of Carrollton, will not only provide vital information on both public and private resources, but is also a great opportunity to network and connect with industry specialists as well as other regional businesses.

The only forum to be held in the DFW area this year, and the first time to be hosted by the City of Carrollton, will feature a wide range of informative seminars and expert speakers on topics related to marketing and social media, healthcare, tax laws, hiring and training opportunities, cost effective use of technology, and opportunities for minority and woman-owned businesses and veterans.

“We are very excited about hosting a 2015 Governor’s Small Business Forum and are committed to providing targeted and relevant resources to the region’s entrepreneurs and small businesses,” Andrea Roy, Economic Development Manager said.

Carrollton Mayor Matthew Marchant will provide the opening remarks. Keynote and guest presenters will be announced soon.

The cost of the forum is $40 for one attendee and an additional $20 for each attendee from the same company. A continental breakfast will be served and lunch will be provided during the keynote address.

In addition to Gov. Abbott’s office, the Texas Workforce Commission, and City of Carrollton, Carrollton-Farmers Branch ISD, Metrocrest Chamber, Baylor Scott & White Carrollton, Brookhaven Community College, Town of Addison, Texas Veterans Commission, SCORE, and SBA, will all play a role in this important effort to help the region’s small business community thrive.

The event is still seeking sponsors interested in supporting local small businesses. For more information on the forum, visit carrolltontxdevelopment.com/smallbusinessforum. Registration will open soon. Early registration is recommended as space is limited to 225 attendees. Secure your company’s spot to learn how Carrollton is where business connections happen.
