October 5, 2015 DCCCD celebrates 50th anniversary during State Fair of Texas Share FacebookTwitterPinterestWhatsApp Dr. Joe May, chancellor of the Dallas County Community College District, celebrated the opening of the State Fair of Texas by walking in the Friday kick-off parade (Sept. 25) with students, college mascots and employees from DCCCD, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary.DCCCD also is staffing an education information booth during the fair’s annual Mundo Latino exhibit, which is housed inside the former Women’s Museum.
