Perot Museum to Celebrate Science and Soccer During Family Festival on July 9

The Perot Museum of Nature and Science will celebrate the world’s most popular sport with a day of science, interactive activities and family entertainment during its “Thursdays on Tap: Soccer Edition” on July 9.

The event, held from 3 to 9 p.m., is part of the Dallas Arts District Fest and will transform the museum into a soccer-themed destination featuring hands-on STEM activities, live entertainment and interactive experiences for visitors of all ages.

Guests will have access to the museum’s exhibits, including the special Soccer: More Than a Game exhibition, while participating in activities designed to highlight the connections between science, athletics and innovation.

Among the featured attractions are behind-the-scenes tours of the museum’s Paleo Lab, 360-degree photo booths, digital caricature artists and interactive exhibits hosted by local sports organizations.

The event also will showcase an international culinary experience with food prepared by Wolfgang Puck Catering, featuring dishes inspired by England, Japan, the Netherlands, Austria and Argentina. Additional food trucks will be available throughout the evening, and bars serving alcoholic beverages will be open for guests 21 and older.

Museum officials expect the celebration to be one of the largest community events hosted at the Perot Museum this summer, bringing together families, soccer enthusiasts and science lovers for an evening of education and entertainment.

The event will take place Thursday, July 9, from 3 to 9 p.m. at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in Dallas.
