WASHINGTON — The Trinity Forum will host an online discussion July 10 examining ethical decision-making in personal and professional life, featuring author and ethics scholar David Miller.
The virtual event, scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Eastern, will center on Miller’s latest book, The Five Questions for Ethical Decisions: How to Succeed Without Selling Your Soul. The conversation will explore practical approaches to making ethical choices amid the challenges of information overload, competing priorities and increasing demands in the workplace.
Miller serves as director of the Princeton Faith & Work Initiative, a senior professional specialist in ethics and a lecturer at Princeton University, where he teaches courses on professional responsibility and ethics. Before entering academia, he held leadership positions in finance and business, including roles with IBM, State Street Bank, HSBC and a London-based private equity firm.
In addition to teaching and writing, Miller advises business leaders on ethics, values-based leadership and the integration of faith and work. He is also the author of God at Work.
The July 10 program is part of the Trinity Forum’s ongoing series of conversations designed to examine the intersection of Christian faith, leadership and public life. The nonprofit organization brings together scholars, authors and thought leaders to discuss issues of culture, ethics and faith while encouraging thoughtful dialogue on contemporary challenges.
The organization also is highlighting its latest Trinity Forum Reading, Abraham Lincoln: Words That Challenge, Words That Heal, by Senior Fellow Ronald C. White.
Released as the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of the United States, the publication examines Abraham Lincoln’s speeches, letters and personal writings, emphasizing how his moral convictions and evolving faith shaped his leadership during the Civil War. White argues that Lincoln’s words continue to offer insight into leadership, reconciliation and civic responsibility during periods of national division.
