(Black PR Wire) SPRINGFIELD, ILLINOIS: The Women’s Pro Baseball League has announced that Jemile Weeks has been named manager of the Boston Hunters, effective immediately.

Weeks will assume leadership of the Boston Hunters following the club’s first three games of the season. He brings extensive professional baseball experience and a strong understanding of leadership, player development, and building a winning team culture.

“We are pleased to have Jemile Weeks take over as manager of the Boston Hunters,” said Justine Siegal, Commissioner of the WPBL. “Weeks brings tremendous baseball knowledge, leadership, and a clear understanding of what it takes to lead a professional team. We are confident in his ability to guide this group as we move forward through the season.”

The Boston Hunters would also like to thank Keith Foulke for his contributions to the organization and his efforts on behalf of the club.

“We appreciate Keith’s time and commitment to the Boston Hunters and wish him and his family all the best in the future,” added Siegal. “We have a talented group of players, and our focus is on building a strong, unified team and competing at a high level every day. We believe Jemile is the right person to lead this team, and we are excited about what lies ahead.”

Weeks will immediately assume responsibility for the club and begin working with the coaching staff and players as the Hunters continue their inaugural season.
