Three members of the Texas Congressional Delegation have confirmed their participation in the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce’s inaugural 2014 Congressional Roundtable.

The roundtable will take place from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Aug. 18 at the Omni Mandalay Hotel – Las Colinas, 221 E. Las Colinas Blvd. in Irving.

Texas Association of Business CEO Bill Hammond will moderate the panel, which includes Congressman Kenny Marchant (24th District); Congressman Marc Veasey (33rd District); and Congressman Pete Sessions (32nd District).

“2014 is a critical year for the Texas business community. From transportation and infrastructure issues to tax reform and trade policy, health care, and immigration reform, the decisions made by Congress this year will have a big impact on the future of Texas,” said Bill Hammond, CEO of the Texas Association of Business. “I look forward to moderating a discussion with leaders from the Texas Congressional Delegation and members of the North Texas business community to share their views and solutions for creating jobs and moving our country forward.”

During the event, key members of Congress will discuss federal legislation and issues that will impact the North Texas business community in 2014.

“The 2014 Congressional Roundtable provides the regional business community the opportunity to interact with congressional leaders and have an open discussion on federal policy that affects our community,” said Jason Simon, Director of Legislative Advocacy and Media at the Greater Irving-Las Colinas Chamber of Commerce.
