Some NBA All-Star events canceled or delayed

The last minute winter storm which hit the DFW has caused quite a stir among NBA fans, players, owners and business owners. The Dallas area was anticipating five nights of nonstop partying with big ticket celebrities like Mary J. Blige, P. Diddy, rapper Drake, among famous comedians and athlete. More than 500,000 fans were expected to converge on the city beginning Wednesday but that prediction was sharply declined by the up to five inches of snow which has blanketed the entire Dallas area and surrounding cities.

Flights at both Love Field and DFW International have been constantly cancelled and delayed, leaving party goers and fans stranded in their hometowns. Airline employees at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport reported desperate fans willing to pay $500 to other passengers for their seat to Dallas only to have the flight canceled.

The NBA All-Star Jam Session has not received the turn-out officials anticipated but hope the weather conditions will improve for the final day on Saturday allowing families to receive the NBA experience of a lifetime. Many of the events canceled were parties at local night clubs and other local events but the main sports related events leading up to the All-Star game on Sunday, Feb. 14 are still scheduled to start on time.

Stay tuned to your local news for more details on delays or cancellations of NBA All-Star event cancellations.
