The Plano Children’s Theatre, 1301 Custer Road Suite 706, will hold 12 performances of the play, The Sound of Music, on Thursday, Friday, and Saturdays at 7:15 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday at 2:15 p.m. Tickets are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. The Dallas African American Museum and Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., Alpha Sigma Lambda chapter co-sponsors First Fridays – Music Under the Dome featuring “Jimmy and the Crew from 7 p.m. to midnight. The $15 admission includes live music, a DJ, finger food and beverages; plus, parking. This event promotes local talent and the arts while helping the African American Museum to become more visible in the community and to increase museum membership.
