Chris Brown garnered five nominations in eleven categories, as the nominees for the 24th annual Soul Train Awards were announced Friday.

Brown, who recently cleaned up at the 2011 Hip-Hop Awards, is nominated in 11 categories, including Best Male R&B/Soul Artist. His F.A.M.E. (Forgiving All My Enemies) smash, She Ain’t You, named Best Dance Performance and Song of the Year.

Beyonce earned four nods including Album of the Year, where she will compete with her husband, Jay-Z, for the trophy. Rihanna also earned four nominations. The Only Girl in the World/What’s My Name singer and her ex-beau will battle for the Best Dance Performance honor.

Rihanna recently told Esquire that she is glad that Brown – who is serving five years probation for assault on the singer – has found his way back on the charts.

“It’s incredible to see how he pulled out the way he did. Even when the world seemed like it was against him, you know?” Rihanna said. “I really like the music he’s putting out. I’m a fan of his stuff. I’ve always been a fan.”

Adele, Marsha Ambrosius, Beyonce, Raphael Saddiq, and the late Michael Jackson are nominated for Record of the Year Award. The honor is named for the longtime music writing team Ashford & Simpson. Nick Ashford, 70, died from throat cancer in August.

Comedian Cedric “The Entertainer” is slated to host the annual event. The ceremony will be taped on Nov. 17 in Atlanta and will air on Centric and BET on Nov. 27.

Keith Sweat, Robin Thicke, Lloyd Miguel, Jill Scott, and Melanie Fiona are scheduled to perform.
