Texas Discovery Gardens Hosts Butterfly Wonderland

Holiday shopping served up with complimentary drinks from Barefoot Wine & Bubbly, hors d’oeuvres and dessert — a delicious pairing! Join us for Butterfly Wonderland at Texas Discovery Gardens on Thursday, December 1, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Open to the public, visitors will experience a rare opportunity to stroll through the Rosine Smith Sammons Butterfly House and Insectarium in the evening, when our owl butterflies are most active. Inside the Butterfly House, enjoy whimsical nature-themed ceramics by Dan and Lori Dudley with Dirt on your Skirt Studio. Live music entertainment will provide a festive atmosphere for shopping in our Gift Shop, which will offer 20 to 60 percent savings on select items — just in time for the holiday season!

Want to bring the whole family? The sale extends through Saturday, Dec. 3, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Enjoy our Guided Butterfly House Tour at 11 a.m. Saturday with entomologist John Watts, then shop while you sip cider, hot chocolate (and a glass of wine for the adults!), and holiday treats. Special kids’ activities are from noon to 3 p.m. Enjoy a special performance at 1 p.m. as Eric Dorton plays with his 10 year old drummer/singer son, FrANkie, as they celebrate the release of their new album “Learning to Surf.”
