Commissioner Elba Garcia and 25 non-profit organizations hosted a special charity event at Commissioner’s Courtroom today. During her campaign in 2010, Commissioner Garcia promised that she would donate a portion of her Commissioner’s salary to charity. She continued to fulfill this promise last Wednesday morning by donating over $15,000 to local charities throughout Commissioner District 4 and Dallas County.
