The Urban League is fighting against HIV/AIDS. February 7th is National Black HIV/AIDS Awareness Day. To raise consciousness and understanding, the Urban League is hosting an informational panel discussion on HIV and providing FREE HIV testing from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at its headquarters, 4315 S. Lancaster Road in Dallas.

The Methodist Health System Mobile Unit will provide mammograms from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. You can also sign up for the Biobank at UT Southwestern Medical Center research study on heart disease from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

Let’s get educated, get tested, get involved and get treated! Those we have lost are looking down on us hoping we do the right thing for generations yet to come.
