Jammin’ In June concert in the park starts June 13 in McKinney

Mckinney TexasMcKINNEY – Jammin’ in June, a popular series of concerts at Towne Lake Park in McKinney, starts June 13. The free concerts are offered on three consecutive Thursdays evenings in June from 7:30 to 9 p.m. at Towne Lake Park, 1405 Wilson Creek Pkwy.

Groups perform on McKinney’s portable stage, which will sit in the clearing near the volleyball court in the park, providing plenty of lawn seating. The line-up includes The Bodarks on June 13, The Inspiration Band on June 20 and The King Rocks on June 27.

“We are delighted at the past success of Jammin’ in June,” says Ryan Mullins, Recreation Superintendent. “The concerts are well-attended community events that showcase the breadth of local talent and our commitment to celebrating and supporting the arts and culture. And June is a wonderful time to enjoy McKinney’s beautiful parks.”

Admission and parking are free. Concert attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, chairs or a picnic basket, but alcohol is not allowed in city parks. The Jammin’ in June series is a collaborative effort of the McKinney Parks, Recreation and Open Space Department. For more information please contact 972-547-2690.
