(CNN) — A Florida jury of six women suspended deliberations Friday as it considers the fate of George Zimmerman, who is charged with second-degree murder in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin.
Judge Debra Nelson announced around 6 p.m. that the jury had asked to suspend deliberations for the night, and resume them at 9 a.m. Saturday. All sides accepted the proposal.

Zimmerman says that he was the one crying for help as it was captured coming from outside during the neighbor’s call to 911. Zimmerman also says that just then Martin was prying his gun away. But if Martin had grabbed the gun how come we do not have any of his DNA on it? There should have been something, even if Martin had merely touched the gun, let alone grabbed it, or struggled with it. Indeed, we might expect a struggle for control to leave a heavier DNA imprint on the gun. Yet, it left none.
What about the silence, that dead silence we hear after the gunshot? Does it tell us anything? If Zimmerman was the one crying for help that ensuing silence after shot is certainly revealing — unless Zimmerman can plea for help while holding a gun to shoot. Moreover, just before then we would expect his cries for help to be interrupted by the fight, by the struggle for the gun. They were not.
Rather, the cries continue on steady, though more desperate, but at the same tempo as they had started. This is not possible from a man having his head pounded on the pavement; it is not possible from a man struggling for control of his gun.
No, those steady heart wrenching howls are coming from someone being held at gun point; someone that feels the hard cold steel of a gun in his side; someone untested by the dangers of life — someone young who suddenly realizes he is way over his head, and that his life is about to come to an end.
