Opening an account at FrontDoorFashion.com takes only minutes, provide the profile basics and then complete their in-depth style profile questionnaire. First, you have to get personal and share those all-important size numbers – including your weight and height. Don’t worry the info is just between you and your FDF friends. They offer fashions for women wearing 0 – 14 (or XS – XL).

However, they not only want to know your usual sizes, but also gain an idea for the look you enjoy. They ask how you like your tops and bottoms to fit. We are not all made alike right? So little details like how you characterize your torso and shoulder proportions matter.

Then we get down to the nitty gritty details – describing your style. Do you dare to bare your arms? When it comes to cleavage is your response “the more the merrier” or “what cleavage” (don’t worry there are options in between). Are you a jeans or a dresses kind of lady? A mom? How frequently do you dress in business casual or date night outfits?

Then you rate seven different ensembles, that range from trendy to the sophisticated professional sistas.  I like the way the answers are not cut and dry, but also include “like most of it” or “like some of it” because admit we all love to mix and match.

The survey ends with a few more questions about personal tastes and what you are really looking for, which is great if you know you need a new outfit for the Christmas party or the ex’s wedding (OK we won’t ask why you are going, but if just must, the outfit must be fierce).

Now the fun begins!

A FDF stylist reviews your profile and selects four to six outfits and mails them to your home (no delivery fee). Then you can have fun trying everything on at your leisure. It also gives you an opportunity to pair with items you already have in your closet. I mean of course you want to wear the outfit has provided by FDF, after all what is the fun of having a personal stylist.
