Gerald also authored Short Sale Specifics: An Easy-To-Read Homeowner’s Guide To Short Sales. In 2013, Gerald was named one of “America’s Top Business Leaders” in Fast Company Magazine and was voted Thought Leader of the Year Finalist by the National Academy of Best Selling Authors.
Gerald is a landlord, a condominium developer and a licensed Realtor who has owned and managed properties that range in size from condos and single family homes to big apartment complexes. In 2011, Gerald partnered with an Australian pension fund to form a REIT (Real Estate Investment Trust) and together they raised over $100 million to invest in residential property. Gerald developed the REIT’s entire investment strategy, handpicked the REIT’s initial team of professionals and oversaw the first $20million of all property acquisitions.
A renowned business thought leader and teacher, Gerald has coached hundreds of students throughout the US and Canada how to invest in residential real estate. As a college professor, Gerald designed, developed and taught the small business certificate program for aspiring entrepreneurs at Hudson Community College.
