DALLAS – The incomparable Jan Strimple presented a Fete and Fashion Fall Style Show at Tootsies on Thursday, November 7. Doris Jacobs hosted the event and invited a savvy crowd of real estate movers and shakers to come and bring a donation of gently worn clothing and accessories to benefit the Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary Fashion Show & Luncheon scheduled for May 5 at Brook Hollow Golf Club.

Guests gathered on Tootsies newly refurbished lower level and enjoyed treats provided by Nick & Sam’s Grill and then headed upstairs for a “salon style” show produced by Jan Strimple. Store Manager, Nerissa van Helpenstill welcomed the guest and extended her appreciation to Doris Jacobs for organizing the special event and Gina Jones who is the Luncheon Chair for the 2014 fashion show and luncheon.

1155The “salon style” show is an informal format with no music and staged on a back drop with information about all of the clothing presented and options on ways to wear it. With only 6 professional models, Jan focused on day into dinner/cocktail needs. “Guests at SAWA’s annual luncheon marvel at the show and always enjoy seeing their re-energized donations on the runway so I thought it would be fun to share of the behind the scenes styling secrets we use to provide the wow-factor for the show,” said Strimple.
