Several news outlets are reporting Dallas ISD Superintendent Mike Miles is announcing his resignation at a press conference this morning. He reportedly wanted contract amendments that would provide him some cover in the event he was fired later this year. Given the passionate opposition to him among some of the Dallas ISD Trustees and community, it would appear Miles is ready to move on.
While the other minority-based publications focus on South Dallas, there is only ONE newspaper that focuses on African-Americans in North Dallas and the surrounding areas. It’s the North Dallas Gazette, a good choice when you want to reach a true representation of Dallas African-American consumers.

I didn’t like his “reform” movement. I especially didn’t like the way he went about trying to bring about his reforms. He says his reforms will happen with or without him. I hope that’s not true.
However, he lost a lot of his solid support when he had trustee Nutall thrown out of the school building by two guards. It made him look like an out of control bully – to describe it in a nice and quick way.
