The first ever model competition reality show, Curvy Lines Model Competition, does something no other model competition has ever dared to do. Curvy Lines pits two teams of models against each other to see who the best is.

BLI-TV, a subsidiary of The BLI Group, created the first ever model competition reality show, Curvy Lines Model Competition, that pits industry size models against plus size models in a showdown to see who the better model is. Women from the southwest region converged on Dallas, Texas for a chance to be a part of the inaugural season of BLI-TV’s original production Curvy Lines. The concept of the show is simple; two teams (Team Curvy and Team Lines) will compete against each other as a group and individually weekly in various modeling competitions and photo shoots for a chance to win great prizes such as a modeling contract from Weekley Modeling Agency, national media exposure and other great prizes.

The 14 women selected for this competition include every day women who are mothers, entrepreneurs, students, ex-military and survivors who believe they have what it takes to be the winner of Curvy Lines. Each week there will be an elimination round where one woman from each team will be dismissed. Team members are expected to work together while still bringing their personal best for each competition and photo shoot. Creator and executive producer, Ivy N. McQuain came up with the concept more than a year ago while working with several models in the DFW area.

“What I noticed when as I worked with various productions for media was the lack of plus size models and the snub, if you will, of others,” says McQuain. “So I wanted to create a show concept that would allow models to compete against each other in a fun environment while showing each person’s fierceness as it relates to modeling.”

Fierceness is just what each contestant brings. At each week’s eliminations the Curvy Lines judges as well as a guest judge will critique each photo shoot and competition. DFW’s beauty and hair expert Chakina “CC the Great” Watkins is the lead beauty director for the production. Wil Gilbert is the creative director of photography. Guest photographers, makeup artists, hairstylists and business owners have contributed their talents to the production of Curvy Lines.

Curvy Lines will air on BLI-TV as well as other media partner’s networks every Monday at 8 p.m. CST. A release date has yet to be given.
