Garland seeking volunteers for Healthy Living Expo

HLE_no infoGarland’s free Healthy Living Expo provides a day full of opportunities to learn more about living a healthy, safe and environmentally-friendly lifestyle. The city needs volunteers to make this annual event happen.

Volunteers will help set up the event, greet and direct our guests and assist with various event activities. Volunteer applications are due by Sept. 4, 2015. Visit the “Maps & Volunteer Forms” page at GoGreenGarland.org to apply or emailBPatrick@GarlandTx.gov for more information.

The Healthy Living Expo features the H2O 5K race, Outdoor Fest, Recycle Row, health screenings, and much more. Admission to the Expo is free. The Curtis Culwell Center has implemented a bag policy allowing only clear and small clutch bags at all events. No purses or backpacks are allowed.

The Healthy Living Expo is presented by the City of Garland Environmental Waste Services, Stormwater Management and Water Utilities, Garland Power & Light, Garland Independent School District, the Garland Chamber of Commerce, and Baylor Medical Center at Garland with Fox 4 as broadcast media sponsor.
