El Centro College has created a new transfer partnership with LIM College, allowing students who have successfully completed an Associates of Applied Science in Fashion Marketing in Dallas guaranteed acceptance as a junior to continue their studies in business administration in New York City.
Located quite literally in the center of the fashion industry, LIM College will provide El Centro graduates many unique educational opportunities through a combination of academics and industry-related activities, such as fashion-focused field trips, guest lectures from key industry professionals, and a series of challenging work-study and co-op projects with top companies in and around Manhattan.
“The Fashion Marketing faculty are excited that our AAS graduates will have the opportunity to continue their education in New York at LIM College,” said Marilyn Sullivan, fashion marketing coordinator at El Centro. “It is the perfect place for our students to advance their creativity, put their marketing and merchandising skills to work, and to find their career pathway in one of the world’s global fashion capitals.”
This new articulation agreement with LIM College includes other student benefits like a streamlined transfer process through customized credit counseling and graduation planning, internships, housing, and study abroad opportunities. Likewise, LIM College has a number of scholarships available to assist students with the costs that are specific to transfer students and Phi Theta Kappa graduates.
