Authorities are not releasing the names of the victims yet but they have confirmed the two fatalities were male, it is unclear if they were students of the school. They are reporting 16 gunshot victims. At least four to five of the injured individuals were students at Texas A&M Commerce. Three of the victims were flown to Medical City in Plano, their condition is critical.Â
According to Hunt County Sheriff Randy Meeks, the shooter possibly entered through the back and was targeting a single individual. Then they reportedly begin randomly shooting at the estimated 750 partygoers. The sheriff was unable to confirm the occupency limit for the building as he could not locate a posted sign this morning.
There was one off-duty Farmersville police officier on-site, reportedly at the front. Two other sheriff department members were on the property because of complaints regarding the parking. However, they were not in the building and did not see the shooter.Â
Although earlier thought to be an automatic weapon, they are now reporting it was a handgun.Â
The school has indicated this was not a sanctioned event, but it is reportedly held to celebrate the school’s homecoming weekend.Â
The FBI has volunteered to help local law enforcements and their offer has been accepted.Â
In interviews with WFAA, witnesses shared they were afraid for their lives and many simply got on the ground until the shooting stopped. Then everyone begin running for the exits and climbing out of windows to get to their cars. Some individuals were injuried from the cut glass.Â

Hunt County Sherrifs office is reporting 14 were injuried, including one who jumped through a window, and two confirmed fatalities.Â
No suspect has been identified or arrested. Also, the motive has not been determined.Â

There are reports of up to 20 victims shot at the Party Venue where Texas A&M University-Commerce students were gathered for a party. The party was in nearby Greenville, Texas.
According to various online reports, more than 20 were shot. The reports have fatalities ranging from two to seven dead.
A very graphic video surfaced on SnapChat and was shared on Twitter. The video shows multiple bleeding victims on the ground and chaos as others seek protection or assistance.Â
Reportedly a rifle was used, but no indication on what prompted the shooting or if the shooter is still on the loose. Â
This is the third mass shooting in Texas going back to the summer.Â
