Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott earned the team’s 2019 Good Guy Award as voted on by the local chapter of the Professional Football Writers of America (PFWA). The award honors a player for his consistent and outstanding cooperation with the team’s beat writers.
Prescott was lauded for his consistent cooperation with the media, no matter how he played or whether the Cowboys won.
“Dak Prescott is the MVP of the Good Guy Award because of his consistent professionalism and willingness to work with the media every day of the week, including the walk-offs he has had with beat writers this year,” Clarence Hill of the Fort Worth Star-Telegram said. “It’s not even close.”
Prescott earned the award for the second time in three years, previously winning in 2017. He joins Jeremy Mincey as the only players to win the award twice.
Wide receiver Roy Williams won the first Good Guy Award in 2009.
