Last February, the PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Global Cup made its debut on U.S. soil, bringing one of the most exciting bull riding events ever witnessed to Texas for what was described as two days of edge-of-your-seat action.

Akin to the “Olympics of bull riding,” riders ban together in coach-led teams, shedding their individual pursuit of glory in place of competing for national pride. On the line — the very dirt they compete upon, a record $750,000 purse and the title of “Toughest Nation on Dirt.”

Now, a year later, often decided by the final outs, is preparing to return to the Lone Star State for the 2020 WinStar World Casino and Resort PBR Global Cup USA, presented by Monster Energy, on Feb. 15-16 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.

While Team Australia, Brazil, Canada, and Mexico will look to return to their home nations with the American dirt encapsulated inside the glittering U.S. horn from the Global Cup trophy,  both Team USA Eagles and the all Native American Wolves will look to defend their homeland and keep the championship on U.S. soil.

In 2019, despite a valiant effort by both the Eagles and Wolves, Team Brazil, many of whom call nearby Decatur home, made history, becoming the first-ever two-time Global Cup Champions.
