Good Times co-star Ja’Net Dubois reportedly found dead at her home

Fans of the popular 70s sitcom Good Times are saddened to hear of the passing of Ja’Net Dubois (Courtesy Image CBS)

TMZ is reporting that Ja’Net Dubois the sexy neighbor and friend on Good Times was reportedly found dead in her Glendale, California home. There are currently no reports regarding how she died, but it is believed she passed away in her sleep.

Best known as Willona Woods, the always smiling and vibrant neighbor of the Evans family. While she was certainly on the lookout for Mr. Right, she did it with style and always had sound advice for her friends.

However, DuBois’ career did not begin and end with Good Times. She also wrote and sang Movin’ On Up, the popular theme song for the TV show The Jeffersons. She appeared in several movies throughout her career including Heart Condition staring a very young Denzel Washington in 1990, I’m Gonna Git You Sucka in 1988 and others.

DuBois received an Emmy for her voice-over work on Eddie Murphy’s The PJs.

DuBois was 74 years old and is survived by three children.
