CPR/AED Training – February 1
Sudden cardiac arrest is often a survivable event, but usually only with bystander intervention before Emergency Medical Services arrive. Join Carrollton Fire Rescue on Saturday, February 1, from 9-10:30 a.m. at the Carrollton Fire Administration building (1111 W. Belt Line Road #100) to receive free CPR and AED use training. This monthly class primarily focuses on compression-only cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and automated external defibrillator (AED) use.

Ages 3-16 are invited to learn about edible gardening on Tuesday, February 11, from 4-5 p.m. at the A.W. Perry Homestead Museum (1509 N. Perry Road). Attendees will learn how to properly irrigate and protect their plants from critters, as well as everything they need to know from planting to harvesting. All adults are invited to learn the basics of Social Security and Medicare from a licensed financial professional on Tuesday, February 11, from 6-7 p.m. at Josey Ranch Lake Library (1700 Keller Springs Road).
