HIP HOP for HIV awareness event is Thursday at Dallas City Hall

Dallas Council member Dwaine R. Caraway, District 4, community leaders and 97.9 The Beat radio personalities will kick off the sixth annual Hip Hop for HIV awareness campaign with a testing event at Dallas City Hall on Thursday July 11 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Confidential free HIV testing begins July 10 and will continue through Aug. 25 at designated sites throughout Dallas/Fort Worth. Everyone tested will receive onsite counseling, plus a free ticket to attend a Hip Hop concert Aug. 25 at the Fort Worth Convention Center.

Anyone  interested in free confidential “testing for tickets” to learn their status and receive referrals on social and medical services for HIV/AIDS are invited to visit Dallas City Hall on July 11. Individual must be at least 13 years old to be tested.
