Military Veterans to be honored by Heart of Dallas and Carry the Load at upcoming fundraiser

carryDALLAS – Heart of Dallas has selected Carry The Load (CTL) as its primary beneficiary for the first annual Heart of Dallas Classic event to help raise money for military veterans and their families.

The Army and Louisiana Tech University football teams will square off at the historic Cotton Bowl Stadium at Fair Park on Sept. 28. A purchased ticket to the game also provides admission to the State Fair of Texas.

“Carry The Load is a wonderful organization that celebrates our country’s heroes,” said Britton Banowsky, Heart of Dallas founder and commissioner of Conference USA. “We are thrilled Carry The Load will benefit from the Heart of Dallas Classic, helping to build awareness and raise funds for the men and women who have given so much.”

CTL exists to restore meaning to Memorial Day by honoring the sacrifices made by members of the military, first responders, law enforcement officers, firefighters and their families, especially those who have died or were wounded while carrying the load for their fellow Americans.

“Each day, our service men and women carry the burden of keeping our country safe,” said Stephen Holley, Co-Founder of CTL. “Carry The Load has created the opportunity for friends and loved ones to reflect upon the sacrifices of these heroes.”

To support Heart of Dallas and Carry The Load, purchase your tickets for the Heart of Dallas Classic at  TheHeartofDallas.org. Tickets for the game are available for as low as $20.
