Collin College debuting new conference center

collincollegesCollin College’s Central Park Campus new conference center building will be showcased at a ribbon cutting on Thursday, Sept. 3. The building is located on the southeast corner of Community Avenue and Taylor Burk Drive in McKinney and the celebration falls on the 30th anniversary of the first day of classes offered by the college in 1985.

The new Central Park Campus conference center is an expansion of the previous campus meeting facility, which the student body outgrew. Now they students, staff and community will have more space for meetings, events, seminars, workshops, retreats and more.

They can accommodate up to 1,035 people in a theatre-style seating, and there are two additional classrooms for breakout sessions of 35. Amenities such as onsite catering with a kitchen, Wi-Fi, free parking and state-of-the-art audio/visual systems will be available.

The ribbon cutting kicks off at 10 a.m. at 2200 W. University Drive in McKinney.
