Irving Protest Rally Planned for September 16

Irving Music FactorySupporters of the Irving Entertainment Center (IEC) are not taking the latest attempts by opponents lightly and they are planning a protest rally and press conference on Wednesday Sept. 16 at 5 p.m. The rally is scheduled to take place at the site of the planned IEC where a groundbreaking was held last year.
Construction and planning for the IEC was on-going until a surprise vote by the Irving City Council derailed the project. The Mayor, a long-time vocal opponent to the IEC, was able to secure enough votes to cancel the project.
Supporters of the IEC are hoping to send a message to the Irving City Council and the Mayor, that they want the issue revisited and they are requesting a vote to restart the building of the IEC at the City Council Meeting on Thursday Sept. 17.
