Batman shooting includes 6 year-old girl, soliders and newlywed celebrating his birthday

Saturday afternoon Colorado officials began releasing the names of the victims. Also, details about the heroic efforts of many began to emerge.

The youngest victim is Veronica Mosler, her mother Ashley is in ICU from a gunshot to her throat and abdomen. As of earlier today she was not informed that her daughter died from her wounds. Ashley has been in and out of conscience according to family members.

The details shared so far about the victims include:

There were eight men, three women and Veronica Moser-Sullivan, the youngest slain. Gordon Cowden was the oldest. He was 51. All died of gunshot wounds, according to the release by the Arapahoe County coroner’s office.

One of the 12, Matthew McQuinn, has been tentatively identified and is awaiting final identification, though his family’s attorney confirmed to The Associated Press that McQuinn was among those killed.

In other news related to the tragic shooting, on Saturday bomb experts successfully completed a controlled implosion of all of the explosive devices in the home of the shooter, James Holmes. Media reports indicate there were about 30 devices spread throughout the living room. Details here.
