We are pleased to announce Terrell Mendenhall is joining the North Dallas Gazette entertainment team as a reporter and blogger assigned to cover the entertainment industry.
Terrell is a resourceful, creative and collaborative journalist and comes to the Gazette from Springhill, Louisiana. In Springhill Terrell attended Webster Parish School System and graduated from Springhill High School. He continued his education at Grambling State Universitywhere he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Hotel Restaurant Management with a minor in Journalism.
Terrell worked more than two years as a staff writer for the Gramblinite Weekly News in Grambling Louisiana, and also was responsible for writing about independent film industry locally and nationally. Terrell also interned for WJBF News Channel Six in Augusta, Georgia. His work covering media, businesses, travel and culture has appeared in Daily Augusta News, RustonDaily Leader, Springhill Press, MindenPress Heraldand the Shreveport Times.
Terrell is one of four children born to William and Marylin Mendenhall. Family is a vital part of his identity and he believes they are the back bone of his successes, Cullen, his hometown, is a part of that backbone Terrell added, “It gave me my religious roots, my journalist aspirations, and my inspirations to move forward.”
In Terrell’s leisure time he enjoys participating in community projects. Terrell also enjoys traveling and looks forward to traveling to New York Cityto attend in person Showtime at the Apollo.
