Magic Johnson & the Urban League hosting HIV testing during NBA All-Star Weekend

(NDG Wire) The Urban League of Greater Dallas is hosting an HIV testing Event for the Magic Johnson Foundation and the Black AIDS Institute during 2010 NBA Allstar Weekend. The testing will be held on Saturday, February 13  from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Big T Bazaar, 4515 South Village Fair Drive, Dallas.

Basketball Great Magic Johnson and other celebrities will make appearances throughout the event. The public is encouraged to get tested, because, according to the Department of State Health Services, every nine and a half minutes someone is infected with HIV in Texas.

  1. HIV is a disease that is still incurable today. We should always practice safe sex and also educate our people how to avoid the spread of this disease.
