Marie Osmond’s son commits suicide

Famed childhood star Marie Osmond lost her 18-year-old son, Michael Blosil, to an apparent suicide on Friday, Feb. 26. Blosil jumped from the eighth floor of his L.A. apartment building.

TMZ reported on Sunday the details of a suicide note left by Blosil for a female friend and his neighbor.  Blosil suffered from depression throughout his life and in his note displayed his unhappiness and listed things planned on doing for the last time.

TMZ also reports that Blosil’s friends told police that he was clean and sober at the time of his death — but had attempted to commit suicide at least once before.

Blosil’s father, Brian Blosil was married to Osmond, who adopted Blosil, until 2007.  Blosil was the fifth of Marie Osmond’s eight children. “My family and I are devastated and in deep shock by the tragic loss of our dear Michael and ask that everyone respect our privacy during this difficult time,” Osmond, 50, said in a statement Saturday
