Have you heard?

It’s a shame
The drama of Kanye West continues. After the embarrassing Matt Lauer interview on The Today Show last week, West has decided that he will not conduct any more interviews nor perform on the morning talk show Nov. 26. In response to Kanye’s diss on television, singer Ne-Yo and Russell Simmons have given Kanye props. However, Simmon’s open letter warrants some attention. The mogul wrote that Kanye did not owe President George W. Bush an apology for Kanye’s comment about Bush disliking black people. What is wrong with righting past ills? Simmons can play the race card all he wants, but Kanye is attempting to mature. Kanye has his moments, but he is a work in progress.

Sore loser
Taping for the Soul Train Awards wrapped up last Wednesday, and the show included some drama. Rapper Rick Ross stormed out of his scheduled performance with Chrisette Michele because he lost to Eminem in the best hip hop song of the year category. The awards show sans the Ross/Michele performance is scheduled for 8 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 28 on Centric.

Cougar on the prowl
It seems that Whitney Houston has really hit a sour note again. According to DimeWars, the Grammy-winning singer has her eyes on Brandy’s little bro, Ray J. The pair was sighted Nov. 12 getting cozy after a night on the town in Atlanta.

Can you say tacky?
Former Dallas Maverick Steve Nash and his wife, Alejandra Amarilla, welcomed their third child into the world last week. This is supposed to be a happy little ditty, but it is not. Nash decided to leave his wife hours after the birth of the baby. According to The Vancouver Sun, the Phoenix Sun star has been separated from his wife for months. What a good time to cut the cord.
