DART and Mesquite launch express bus route in March

Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) will inaugurate a first of its kind express bus service on Monday, March 12, between Mesquite’s Hanby Stadium and Lawnview Station on the Green Line.

DART to provide express bus from Mesquite Stadium

The new Route 282 will operate every 30 minutes during morning and afternoon rush hours as the result of an agreement between DART and the City of Mesquite. It’s the first agreement of its kind between the agency and a city outside the DART Service Area.

Customers using Route 282 will pay a DART System fare of $7 daily, $35 weekly, $100 monthly or $1,000 annually. The System Fare allows travel on any DART service, including the Trinity Railway Express between Dallas Union Station and CentrePort/DFW Station.

Hanby Stadium, located at 410 East Davis Street in Mesquite, has free parking for 197 cars, plus 10 additional spaces for persons with disabilities.

Schedule information can be found at DART.org or by calling 214.979.1111.
