Razzoo’s Inc. was proud to be a Build Sponsor during the Habitat for Humanity’s Ten House Development campaign in Plano.  On June 2, Razzoo’s executives presented a check for $39,193.08 to theSouthCollinCounty chapter of Habitat for Humanity, and more than 25 Razzoo’s Cajun Café employees volunteered and helped build a house in East Plano.

Founded in 1991, privately held and management-owned, Razzoo’s, Inc. owns and operates 15 Razzoo’s Cajun Café casual dining restaurants in Dallas/Fort Worth, Round Rock (Austin) Texas, Stafford (Houston) Texas, and Concord (Charlotte), North Carolina.

For the last two decades, the kitschy lively atmosphere at this full-service Cajun-style concept has made it attractive to a wide demographic. The consistent décor theme encompasses authentic images and items representative of Zydeco music, Cajun-Country food, Mardi Gras celebrations and other aspects ofSouthern Louisianaoutdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. The restaurants’ walls are painted with humorous cartoon murals, while lobster traps and boats dangle from the ceilings.  Several locations feature exterior patios and water attractions.

More than 25 Razzoo’s Cajun Café employees volunteered their time on June 2 to build a new home for Habitat for Humanity, including President and CEO Jeff Powell (Pictured behind Chris Degan, Razzoo’s Vice President, Planning & Technology, who is holding the check on the left.)

With an average dinner check of $11 – $14, menu specialties include shrimp Creole, crawfish etoufee, seafood gumbo and jambalaya pasta. Other classic Cajun dishes such as seasonal boiled crawfish, grilled gator tail and po’boy sandwiches are also available. Non-Cajun fare such Razzoo’s baby-back ribs, Cajun-fried steak and cheeseburgers are also strong sellers.

Lunch specials are available during the week, and Razzoo’s children’s menu features items such as popcorn shrimp and cheeseburger dinners. Catering is available for groups up to 300.
