The Mosaic Festival has been a tradition of the Garland Community Multicultural Commission since 2005. The festival provides a venue to celebrate the cultural tapestry that is woven into the Garland community. The event features local, regional and international performing artists representing an array of cultures from around the globe: Vietnamese, Korean, Taiwanese, Asian, Indian, Nigerian, Latino, Hispanic, Italian, Panamanian, Hawaiian, and African-American.
Garland hosting auditions for mulitcultural festival
Auditions for the 2012 Mosaic Festival of Garland will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, July 14 at the Plaza Theatre in Downtown Garland. Performing groups interested in scheduling an audition time may call Debbie McAnally at 972-205-2785.
The Mosaic Festival of Garland is scheduled in conjunction with the We the People Conference and the Healthy Living Expo on Saturday, Sept. 22 at the Curtis Culwell Center in Garland.
